NBA Awards Preview 2026-27: MVP Predictions, Bold Picks & The Baseline Awards w/ CoachNick

The NBA Awards race is heating up, and we’re making our picks! On this episode of The Baseline NBA Podcast, Cal “Game Face” Lee and Warren Shaw welcome special guest CoachNick, host of BBall Breakdown, for our 2026-27 NBA Awards Preview.

We’re breaking down the biggest award races, debating potential winners, and sharing our bold predictions for MVP, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Sixth Man of the Year.

Then it’s time for The Baseline Awards, where we go beyond the traditional hardware with creative categories that celebrate the players, teams, and storylines worth watching.

Who does the most with the least?
Who is the best fit on a new team?
Who’s the ultimate Glue Guy, the most valuable player on a bad team, or the player most likely to bounce back?

We’re also picking our League Pass Darling, the best second option with the Pippen Award, the league’s most explosive offense, the toughest defense, and more.

With Luka Dončić, Jalen Brunson, Cade Cunningham, Victor Wembanyama, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Edwards, Nikola Jokić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and other NBA stars in the conversation, the debate is officially on. Who deserves the hardware, and which Baseline Award will spark the biggest debate?

From the Baseline: Which NBA award or Baseline Award pick do you agree—or disagree—with the most?
